First Look: Nashville Gets Sexier With Second Virgin Hotel Planned for Music Row

Last month we introduced you to Virgin Chicago, the first of Sir Richard Branson’s new properties under his Virgin Hotels brand. For his second location, the billionaire has chosen Music City, which, of course, makes complete sense for the Virgin Records mogul.

Planned for fall of 2016, the Nashville hotel will be located on the historic and nationally-recognized Music Row, and will feature 15 penthouse residential units along with its 240 Chambers and Grand Chamber Suites. What’s really cool about the property though, is that it will hold a world-class recording studio designed by Michael Cronin on its grounds. Are you thinking what I'm thinking? Possible run-ins with your favorite artists at the hotel's bar/lounge? Yes, please.

The hotel will also include a live entertainment venue, 14,000-square-feet of meeting space, a gym, wellness center, rooftop pool, outdoor veranda and a restaurant. “Partnering with BLUR Workshop and interior design firm MarkZeff has enabled us to incorporate our musical heritage and playful tone of voice into this new building, bringing something entirely different to the Nashville hotel scene,” said Raul Leal, CEO of Virgin Hotels in a release.

Some of the other perks the hotel will have is complimentary, high-speed Wi-Fi (which is a right, according to Virgin Hotels) and authentic minibar prices, meaning your Diet Coke will be the same price as if you bought it at a store. While images of the interior haven’t been released yet, if it’s anything like its sister property, it’s sure to be one sexy hotel.

In 2017, the brand will open an NYC location and will be looking for future destinations in cities such as Boston, Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami, Austin, Seattle, San Francisco, Washington D.C. and London. I mean, we’re not going to tell you what to do, Branson, but San Diego is also the perfect place for a Virgin Hotel. Just saying.
