There is a touch of theatrics in the guest rooms blending vintage glamour into modern comfort. The centerpiece of each room is the shimmering iridescent clamshell headboard. Tropical wallpaper, rich wood finishes, curated artwork, and the bed create a playful space.

Guest can peruse the elaborate wet bar complete with recipe cards to make their favorite cocktails. The mini refrigerator is filled with non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, plus there are snacks for guests enjoyment.

Each room offers a redesigned spacious spa-inspired bathroom complete with striking wallpaper, a clawfoot soaking tub, marble vanity, and beautifully designed robes and towels. The attention to detail includes a large tiled shower and beautiful hardware on the sinks and door handles.

Greek Inspired California Fare

Guests leaving their rooms enter into a circus-style canopy at the onsite restaurant, Night Hawk. Creative cocktails on the moth-inspired design menu have whimsical names such as the creamy California Brandy spiked ‘Adonis In Bloom’ and the “Spanakopita Punch’ that is herbaceous, savory and bright.

Wood Fired Fare

Beyond the canopy are sculpted rock formation booths with eye-catching textile padding. Water elements and greenery add to the Greek meets coastal California vibe. Behind the bar is an open-fire oven tantalizing one’s senses. Chefs roll out spheres of dough before throwing them into the hearth fire to make puffy and warm pita bread. Citrus, olive oil, wild herbs, sea salt and smoke enhance the flavors of each dish.

The Mezze Collection

Servers dressed in soft velvet pour water from beautiful shell shaped pitchers into guests water glasses while describing some of the popular menu items. Food is presented with an equally dramatic flair, such as ‘The Mezze Collection’ that arrives on a silver stand. On top there are several elegant silver shells filled with marinated onions and mushrooms, pink beet hummus, babaganoush, and tzatziki. Warm hearth pita bread and lavash crackers can be torn for scooping into each shell.

Attention to Detail

Many of the menu items are served on beautiful black and red Night Hawk rimmed plates. Glasses have insects dazzling the sides. The staff will expertly curate Greek wines to complement one’s meal.

Hidden Lobby

Adding excitement to Baby Grand is the hidden lobby. A white door with a shell and two brass crab door handles opens to transport visitors into a visual soundscape. Vintage tapestries inspired by ancient Pompeiian wall paintings line the walls, framed by custom trim and a fabric ceiling that rises to support a dramatic central chandelier. The high-gloss custom check-in desk anchors the room, while behind this area is a back-bar that provides coffee during the day and cocktails at night.

Fallen Empire

Throughout the space, statues and artifacts suggest fragments left behind from another era. There is one that conceals the entrance to the intimate Fallen Empire, a hidden oyster and champagne bar. This reservation-only elegant bar features mirrored walls and solid-brass booths. Upholstered in red mohair with built-in champagne buckets and padded armrests, guests sit above an ornate mosaic floor depicting life under the sea.

Along one wall there is “The Raft of the Medusa” at both the cocktail bar and raw bar. A heaping display of ice showcases fresh selections like Kumamoto oysters, scallop crudos and uni tartares. The beverage menu includes celebratory glasses of grower champagnes, with some rare vintages and an assortment of champagne cocktails.
