Guests dining at the signature Hudson & Nash restaurant have a front row seat to waterfront views of San Diego Bay and the exciting downtown skyline. Hudson & Nash participates in San Diego’s Ocean-Friendly Restaurant program by reducing single-use plastics, using reusable tableware, and implementing recycling initiatives.

The elevated Odysea Lounge near the lobby is a great spot to watch a Padres game or sit outside on the terrace to hear the symphony play at the nearby Rady Shell outdoor music venue.

Heated Outdoor Pool

Guests can swim every season in the resort’s heated pool. The pool deck offers beautiful views of San Diego Bay and towering palm trees, creating a true Southern California resort feel. The heated whirlpool is a popular spot in the afternoon after a day of sightseeing.

Next to the pool is the Pool Club bar that serves food, cocktails, local beers, and frozen drinks. It’s a comfortable spot to enjoy a beverage and snack without leaving the pool area. Petco Park

Just a short walk over a pedestrian bridge is Petco Park, making it an easy destination for hotel guests to see a San Diego Padre’s game. One of the stadium’s iconic signature features is the historic Western Metal Supply Co. Building, a century-old brick warehouse that was preserved and incorporated into the left-field corner of the stadium.

The stadium also hosts concerts, international sporting events, festivals, and other major entertainment events throughout the year. Its proximity next to the Hilton San Diego Bayfront makes it convenient for hotel guests to park once and walk to a game and throughout San Diego’s East Village.

The Rady Shell

Jacobs Park is home to San Diego’s Symphony in the summer months, as well as a popular concert venue. The Rady is a 5-minute walk from the Hilton San Diego Bayfront, making it a favorite destination for hotel guests. Its world-class acoustics, tiered seating, food and beverage venues and bayfront setting makes this a popular locals and visitors venue.

During the day and when there isn’t a concert, the park is open to everyone. There are walking paths to see public art, and places to stop for a picnic to enjoy the bay views. During performance days, the San Diego Symphony and special rock, jazz, pop, and film concerts rehearse in the afternoon before an evening’s show. The Rady gates are open to the public welcoming anyone to sit and watch the rehearsal at no charge.

When there is a performance, guests can still walk along the perimeter of the park to see the show and listen to the music along the waterfront and harbor.

Visit Coronado

Guests seeking beach time can take the hotel’s complimentary Coronado Beach Bus for a day of sand, surf and sun. Coronado is the picturesque island city across the bay from the hotel. It’s connected to downtown San Diego by the iconic Coronado Bridge. The beach bus drives over this bridge and drops guests off in front of the historic Hotel del Coronado.

A Slice of History

For history buffs, Coronado dates back to 1886. Its distinctive red-roof Victorian architecture has been a vacation destination for past presidents, royalty, and celebrities for more than a century. It also served as the filming location for the classic movie ‘Some Like It Hot’ with Marilyn Monroe. Since 2026 would have been Monroe’s 100th birthday, the hotel is celebrating with decor, tours and tributes to the movie star.

The bus drop-off and pick-up is also along Coronado’s main street lined with boutique shops, cafés, restaurants, art galleries, and ice cream parlors.

Take A Scenic Ferry Ride

Another way to get to Coronado is by ferry boat. The Flagship Ferry leaves from a dock at the Convention Center to Coronado on roundtrip crossings. The service is free from Coronado before 9 a.m., and then a passenger fare is $9 each way until 10:30 p.m.

The crossing takes about 15 minutes from Broadway Pier and 10 minutes from the Convention Center, an even shorter ride for Hilton San Diego Bayfront guests. Bikes are generally welcome at no additional charge.
