From the moment you pull up to the friendly valet attendants waiting to whisk your car away and show you where to check in to the cheerful staff greeting you with a welcome glass of champagne, you know you have arrived at Eau Resort & Spa.
Located on seven palm-tree lined acres overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in Manalapan (the southern tip of Palm Beach Island), Eau (translated “water” in French) aptly boasts a sandy white beach, multiple dining options, a lavish destination spa, two ocean-facing pools (including one dedicated adults-only), and luxurious accommodations ranging from lanai terrace rooms to opulent suites with each offering a private terrace overlooking the pools and turquoise blue waters.

Glamorous guest rooms were customized by Palm Beach local designer Jonathan Adler and feature tropical-inspired blue and white décor. Outside, the pool and garden areas are surrounded by lounge chairs and day beds to soak in the spectacular views.
Whether you are a snowbird looking to escape for a weekend from Boston (it’s a quick three-hour flight), visit for a weeklong retreat, or book a quick one-night getaway (calling all locals!), the property offers something for every traveler (including four-legged guests). The pet friendly resort welcomes leashed dogs to explore the grounds and even has a designated relief area.

In 2024, Oracle Co-Founder Larry Ellison spent a jaw-dropping $277 million, adding this stunning resort to his impressive hospitality portfolio that also includes the Four Seasons Resort Lanai in Hawaii.
The focal point of the serene property is the award-winning 42,000-square-foot Eau Spa where serious spa-goers head for a few hours of pure relaxation with stress seeming to melt away as soon as you step through the front door.
Before being led to a tranquil lounge in advance of a curated treatment, guests are presented with a candle, asked to make a wish, then float the candle in the Wishing Well located in the spa’s main rotunda.

Treatments here include everything from exfoliations, wraps, and rituals to hydra facials, couples’ massages, hair extensions, manicures and pedicures, and even makeup services.
We recommend booking their signature massage – an aromatherapy treatment combined with hot stone therapy designed to melt away all of your stress. After a 60-, 90-, or 120-minute treatment, you will leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.
Be sure to arrive early or save some time post treatment to linger a little longer in the sauna, steam room, or relaxation gardens, or head over to one of the hanging chairs to swing by the reflecting pool.

When it comes to dining, there are several options to choose from.
Last fall, the property welcomed chef Nobu Matsuhisa to open his famed Nobu concept featuring his renowned Japanese-Peruvian fusion menu (think black cod miso and Mirai Wagyu steak).
Angle is the property’s signature restaurant offering an impressive selection of steaks.
Be sure to start your dinner off here with a sampling of their raw bar menu. Jumbo shrimp cocktail (and we do mean enormous) is accompanied by a side of spicy cocktail sauce for dipping. Their tasty take on classic Oysters Rockefeller features a decadent combination of bacon, creamed spinach, Pernod, and Bearnaise.
Juicy cuts of beef range from a Creekstone Farms Prime dry-aged New York strip to a well marbled 16-ounce Snake River Farms Wagyu ribeye. The cuts can be complemented with rich enhancements, including Maytag blue cheese crust, black truffle butter, foie gras torchon, or a lobster tail.
Keep an eye out for the day’s rotating chef specialties that may include dishes like imperial caviar, Great Ranges Bison Ribeye, a six-ounce Turner grass-fed filet mignon, and Nasturtium pasta with braised rabbit and whipped ricotta.
The flavor-filled Ora King Salmon dish features beets, sunchokes, citrus, and dill. Other main events include Diver scallops, Dover sole, Briardale ostrich fan filet, and a Berkshire pork chop with fresh corn polenta.

Other dining options include Breeze Ocean Kitchen that serves up coastal-inspired cuisine in a casual atmosphere (flip flops allowed), Stir (Eau’s take on the traditional lobby bar) featuring custom crafted cocktails and live music, and Oceana, a coffee bar offering sweet treats, including house made pastries and homemade ice cream.

You can work off all of those extra calories the next day at the fitness center or playing a round of tennis on one of three Har-Tru courts.
Eau Resort & Spa is located at 100 South Ocean Boulevard in Manalapan, Florida.
