When it comes to wanting the best of the best, how much would you pay for a stay in the world’s most expensive suite? The Mark Hotel in New York City thinks that number is $75,000 a night, at least that’s what they’re banking on. The property’s 12,000-square-foot suite takes first place among the globe’s most lavish accommodations. Previously the Royal Penthouse Suite at the President Wilson Geneva in Switzerland was the most expensive with a price tag of $60,000 a night.

Designed by interior designer Jacques Grange, the retreat covers two floors of the hotel and is entered through one of three elevators that service the suite. Inside there are five bedrooms, a library lounge, grand piano, two wet bars, four fireplaces, a conservatory and a 2,500-square-foot rooftop terrace. Its living room (with 26-foot-high ceilings) can also be converted into a full-size grand ballroom for private events.

Or, should you wish to throw a dinner party, the dining room can accommodate up to 24 guests. The hotel’s three Michelin-starred chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten is one of the many chefs who can be booked to prepare a private dinner for you and your guests.

Inside each room are room control panels, HDTVs, plush Italian bedding and bathrooms. A separate guest bathroom ensures that no one has to wait to use the lavatory. The master also boasts a free-standing floating gas fireplace, his-and-hers dressing areas with custom-built walk-in closets, a sitting room, and his-and-hers master bathrooms with Lefroy Brooks fixtures, heated floors and an infinity deep-soaking tub.

Along with the room itself, the Mark promises that any expectations and needs will be met should that be a private gym installed in the room or a midnight run to Tiffany’s for some new jewelry for the misses.
