Baros Maldives, a resort recently named by TripAdvisor as the most romantic hotel in the Maldives, has just found a way to make date night a little bit more special. Forget the drive-in movies; guests of the resort now have the option to enjoy their favorite films on the privacy of their own sandbank. This unusual new experience was dreamed up alongside the hotel's other tantalizing dining excursions, which include a meal atop the floating "Piano Deck"—a free-standing, piano-shaped platform located in the water off the coast of the resort.
Guests will be transported to their location on a sunset boat ride across calm, azure waters. Upon arrival, they will be treated to a bottle of champagne and traditional movie snacks before settling in for the film. Visitors have the choice to either relax on an array of comfortable lounge chairs, or can arrange a candlelit dinner for two for the evening. The romantic dinner arrangement comes with a personal, on-call butler service as well as their choice of film to play throughout the meal. The experience is available for all Baros guests, with pricing starting at $800.
