The Westin Palace Madrid

Commissioned by King Alfonso XIII in 1912, the newly restored Westin Palace Madrid is set near the Prado, historic monuments and some of the best tapas restaurants in town. It was ranked as one of the world's best hotels by Condé Nast Traveler's 2010 Gold List.

Topped by an enormous stained glass dome, the regal building has been a center of Spanish society for almost 100 years. It boasts meeting rooms, restaurants, bars, shops, a beauty parlour and a WestinWORKOUT fitness center overlooking the city.

The 467 guest rooms and spacious suites have been updated with all modern conveniences and with the Westin Heavenly Bed®. Rooms are exquisitely decorated with antique furnishings and original mahogany and plaster details.

Accommodations

  • Deluxe Room

    A marble entry foyer leads into the Deluxe Rooms, which are elegantly furnished in a traditional style. The signature Heavenly Bed® (queen or two twins) with its seven blissful layers of deluxe bedding lies beside a spacious desk, cocktail table, armchair, and reading lamp. The well-connected traveler will enjoy High Speed Internet Access (fee), an Internet and keyboard TV system with Movies On Demand, as well as a dual line speakerphone.

  • Executive Suite

    Spacious and elegantly appointed, the 17 Executive Suites are sized for an extended stay. The lounge features a large sofa, armchair, reading lamp and coffee table along with a large desk equipped with a comfortable chair. Bedrooms are furnished with a king, queen or two twin beds, desk and chair and television. Some rooms also have a dining area with seating for six.

  • Royal Suite

    The largest accommodation, the Royal Suite, is located on the top floor overlooking the Plaza Neptuno and its fountain. Elegant and comfortable, the suite includes a full bedroom, dressing room, and bathroom. The master bath boasts a sauna and Jacuzzi, and there is a powder room for guests as well. The large lounge features a conversation grouping with sofa, table and plush chairs. A separate dining room seats eight and the library is equipped with a television.

  • The Asia Gallery

    The magnificent architecture of The Westin Palace shines in this elegant and exotic space, rich silk materials combine with Chinese style furniture makes this experience unbeatable. The perfectly prepared Cantonese cuisine is just as enticing.

  • La Rotonda

    La Rotonda restaurant, named for the stained glass dome that is the hotel's visual signature, offers the SuperFoods breakfast buffet, lunch buffet, and an a la carte menu for lunch and dinner. The Sunday Opera & Brunch is considered the best in town.

  • The Palace Bar

    The Palace Bar has a classic style and welcoming atmosphere that make it the perfect spot to enjoy some of the most famous cocktails in the city, prepared by the famed Palace Barmen.
