Prohibition is back. But don’t worry, there’s no ban on alcohol; instead, Windsor Court Hotel in NOLA is offering a themed Boozy Brunch on September 22. Their signature afternoon tea in Le Salon will take a jump back in time when The Big Easy had to hide its adult beverages.
During the dry 1920’s era, partyer and consumers drank their alcohol from tea cups to trick law enforcement. In the same speakeasy fashion, the hotel will be serving tea-infused vodka drinks and craft cocktails during the day.
Only for the 21+ crowd, the boozy brunch is a great way for friends or groups to partake in a different kind of NOLA experience. And, as a Travel + Leisure readers’ top city for happy hour and singles, you may even meet that someone extra special while there.
Included in the $35 three-course brunch are scones, hot and cold sandwiches and tasty desserts. Diners will be treated to a variety of sandwiches like House Cured Salmon on Potato Latke with Crème Fraîche and Caviar, Miniature Huevos Rancheros with Quail Egg and Cucumber with Watercress Cream Cheese on Marble Rye. So go early to get your favorites, but shhhh...don't let the men in blue know about our little secret.
