Three blocks from the mighty Mississippi is Preservation Hall, a haven for well-rounded jazz musicians to play the soundtrack of New Orleans to sold-out crowds. The Hall contains portraits of all the famous musicians that have stopped by over the years, turning it into a historical art gallery as well.
Preservation Hall also hosts an educational program that teaches 9- to 15- year olds the art of classical New Orleans Jazz, filling the youth with dreams of playing for the crowds that still flock here.
