Triple Creek Ranch continues to earn top rankings in the annual Travel + Leisure ‘World’s Best Awards 2026’ for the 18th consecutive year. The ranch is described by travel editors as “an adults-only paradise with activities like whitewater rafting, guided fly-fishing, and snow tubing.”

What makes Triple Creek Ranch unique is its 25 uniquely designed and exceptionally private log-style cabins. They are tucked among 750 wooded acres and border four million acres of National Forest in the Bitterroot Mountains.
Inside the cabins there are log-post beds, sleeping lofts, comfortable furnishings, wood-burning fireplaces, and spacious living areas. Many cabins have private hot tubs.
During a classic Montana winter, guests can go horseback riding in the snow or spend an afternoon snowshoeing or dog sledding. There’s cross-country skiing on the Continental Divide and alpine skiing at Lost Trail Ski Area. The all-inclusive ranch provides complimentary equipment, tickets, and a packed lunch for such excursions.
During spring and summer guests are offered a wide range of traditional Western activities, such as horseback riding or enroll in Cowboy School. This multi-day learning experience of cowboy skills is one of the equestrian activities that take place across the river on the CB Ranch, Triple Creek’s 26,000-acre working cattle and bison ranch.
As an Orvis-endorsed lodge, guests can take fly fishing lessons on guided fly fishing trips along the adjacent Bitterroot River. During Spring from mid-March through April, anglers come for the annual Skwala hatch season, one of the most celebrated early spring fly fishing events in western Montana. April also brings ‘Triple the Rivers at Triple Creek Ranch’, a special long weekend from April 15-19. It’s an epic weekend hosted by avid fisherman and Executive Chef Jake Leatherman. Guests get to river hopping in Montana and Idaho on the Bitterroot, Salmon, and Big Hole River systems. Other outdoor activities include archery, white water rafting, hiking, and paddle boarding.
Quieter pursuits around the ranch include outdoor yoga class and guided meditation sessions. Guests can go sapphire panning and witness stargazing in the evening. “The range of activities is constantly evolving”, notes Smith and Snavely, who added: “We’ve recently introduced skydiving, knitting weekends, an upcoming Wine & Tango Weekend with Chateau Montelena, and Ski & Sip Weekends throughout the winter.”
Fine dining is another highlight of guest’s stay at the ranch. Chef Jake applies his classical French training to the very best produce, fish, and game in the American West. He pairs it with a wine list that has earned a Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence every year since 2012. The kitchen and bar teams come together every January to offer a hands-on Culinary Weekend that’s a guest favorite.
Triple Creek Ranch has become renowned for its Vintner Events, which feature celebrated winemakers such as Chappellet Winery, Schramsberg & Davies Vineyards, and Et Fille Winery.
