Start with a morning yoga and stretch class in the oceanfront yoga studio. Yoga mats are strategically placed inside or out on the outdoor terrace overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Catalina Island.
As part of the 5,000-square-foot fitness and wellness center, the expansive floor-to-ceiling windows allow guests to take in the beauty of nature and swimming pool. Use the state-of-the-art Precor equipment, lift free weights and spend some time on the cardio and strength training machines.
New additions include two Peloton bikes, a Peloton rowing machine, nine TRM treadmills, two stair climbers, and an air bike.
Walking into The Spa, the appealing upgraded entry showcases a beautiful new reception counter. A staff member leads spa guests to the new modernized lockers in the men's and women's locker rooms. After donning a comfortable robe and spa sandals, head over to the sauna, steam room and outdoor whirlpool. Wait inside the coastal-inspired lounge areas softened by soft blues hues, sandy neutrals, and custom Venetian plaster walls before and after a treatment.
Contemporary art and luminous light fixtures create an atmosphere of effortless tranquility. Every detail was thoughtfully reimagined in the treatment rooms and revitalized outdoor spaces.
The new upstairs relaxation lounge incorporates the four traditional natural elements - earth, air, fire and water. Open the sliding door to invite a cool marine breeze inside. A flickering fireplace in the room represents the fire element. Step out onto the terrace to admire earth and water.
The color-splashed mural wallcovering along with coastal-inspired lighting, sconces, and textural rattan pendant light reinforces the spa's nature-inspired atmosphere.
This co-ed relaxation room showcases three new ergonomic Evo loungers by Gharieni. They are equipped with electronically adjustable head, back, leg and foot sections to provide guests with supreme comfort and flexibility.
Each of the spa’s 25 treatment rooms have been refreshed with new paint, cabinets in rich dark cherry wood, and comfortable and heated Living Earth Crafts spa beds. There are hot towel warming cabinets to heighten guests' massage and facial treatments.
Wellness opportunities include a 60-minute Harmonic Aura Awakening and HydraFacial. This awakening treatment harnesses the healing vibrations of Himalayan singing bowls that are expertly placed on and around the body. This sacred sound therapy awakens the body’s chakra points. It's followed by a restorative marma point body and facial massage, designed to rejuvenate energy flow and promote holistic healing. Using ayurvedic plant extracts arnica and ashwagandha, the treatment soothes the mind, nourishes the body and revitalizes the spirit, leaving guests in a state of deep relaxation and balance.
Another new treatment is the 60-minute HydraFacial providing results-driven deep cleansing of the skin. This hydra-dermabrasion offers a gentle peel. Not only does it extract impurities, it also infuses antioxidants and hydration to enhance skin texture and radiance. Leave with a glowing complexion with no discomfort or downtime.
The oceanfront spa pool is ideal for laps and cooling down while soaking up the California sunshine. On the inviting pool deck there are new outdoor furnishings, patio shade umbrellas and freshly recanvassed cabanas.
Order off the beverages and food menu at Solviva to enjoy nutrient-rich healthy items. The chef uses local and sustainably grown produce in creative preparation for flavorful meals good for your body and mind. Start with overnight oats and seasonal fruit and berries for breakfast. Come back for chips, salsa and guacamole, crudite with hummus, and a salmon wrap for lunch.
On Fridays and Saturdays enjoy Sips & Sunsets from 4 - 7 pm at Solviva. Enjoy a beautiful curated selection of fine and local wines, seasonal cheese and charcuterie, and live music while savoring the golden hour overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Wines can be purchased by the glass or bottle.
