Sydney has climbed its way up to the point of being the second wealthiest city in the world as measured by purchasing power per capita. This means that on average the people of Sydney are doing quite well for themselves and it is no wonder that because of this 500,000 people move to Sydney every year.

Founded as a colony of the British Empire in 1788, Sydney has grown into the second wealthiest city on earth when measured by per capita purchasing power.
