A short film for luxury brand Chanel’s Fall 2012 collection was directed by Cyrille de Vignemont and features British model Edie Campbell. “Obsession” has symbolic imagery with the use of multiple mirrors, and follows Campbell as two different characters. One of them wears boy-inspired women’s wear while the other is clad in a classically feminine outfit. According to the director’s website, the film was inspired by a quote from Coco Chanel herself, and we think that Vignemont represented it well: "Conceived as a mirror piece, the film illustrates Coco Chanel's famous sentence ‘Luxury is something beautiful inside and out' and plays on the star model's identities: girl or boy, eternal or modern, but always marked by Chanel Obsession."
