Close your eyes, drift into serene repose and imagine an unforgettable event where you spend an entire weekend kicking back and sipping wine. Now imagine the irresistible combination of gourmet food, wine and music at Maui’s only Forbes Five Star property, the legendary Four Seasons. Better yet, just book the Four Seasons' Vintage Wine Weekend (December 5-7, 2014) and experience it firsthand.
With every movie he does, Tom Hardy keeps showing just how dang good he is. Who else could have pulled off Locke?(A movie in which his character was the only one you saw and spent the entire movie making phone calls while driving on a freeway.) And I'm still in awe of his performance in&a
Plenty of cars have rearview cameras, Bluetooth connectivity, built-in GPS systems, and amazing sound systems, but for the longest time motorcyclists have lacked the same luxury amenities—after all, where would you put them? Skully has the answer, and has put all those must-have features inside of its AR-1 helmet.
Wine trends fluctuate pretty often, with new favorites appearing as if over night while old favorites will suddenly be deemed unpopular—only to have the roles reversed soon after. Sometimes a movie will change minds (like how Sideways suddenly made it cool to hate merlot and love pinot noir back in 2004) and other times it will be a few excellent vineyards that begin to blow everyone's taste buds away.
Now that Karina Wiciak is finished with her lengthy XII design collection, she's started on her next project—the Pastel Collection. We're not sure how many looks she's planning on realizing for the series, but with the second one officially revealed, we can't wait to see what else she has in store.
The ICON E-Flyer II electric bike may be cool enough to compete with even the swankiest electric supercar. For those fortunate worker bees with short commutes, this bike makes the trip faster, easier and cooler. You don’t really need a commuting excuse to want this bike though. (Did we mention this bike was cool?)
Considering we already told you all about the world's most expensive foods (does $1,000 for an omelet ring a bell?), we figured we'd move on to the priciest restaurants out there today. Thankfully, Pennywell already put together this handy infographic that showcases eight of the best dining spots in the world. From Masa in New York (where the tasting menu costs around $450 and cancelling a reservation could get you a $200 per person fine) to Ithaa in the Maldives (where you dine on the $300 23-course meal from within a transparent acrylic tunnel under the sea), here are some of the fanciest restaurants you should make reservations for right now.
The Cannes Yachting Festival began on Tuesday and with it comes some 580 vessels ready to show off their smooth lines and luxury interiors. Taking over the Cote d-Azur, the festival (September 9-14) is in its 37th year and has several new superyachts for fans to explore, like the Riva Mythos 122 Sol and the Benetti Ocean Paradise.
In news that might excite some folks just as much as the iPhone 6 or Apple Watch, the Ferrari FF (short for Ferrari Four, its powerhouse four-seater) will be the first luxury car to feature Apple’s CarPlay. The system was revealed at the Geneva Motor Show in March and was designed to make smartphones safe to use while driving. Users can search, message and call using intuitive hands-free technology, and will also have access to iTunes, Apple maps, and a very select few of third-party apps that meet Apple’s safety requirements.
There’s no denying that feeling of ease and happiness knowing that you have a home club—a place where you can practice in peace, tee up at a moment’s notice, and host guests. The United States has over 16,000 golf courses, so there is no shortage of places to play, but having that sacred home club is not so easy to find for many players. Some residential club communities are geared more towards all-inclusive offerings with beaches, pools, dining and much more, things that appeal to the entire family.
We’re a week into football season and the notion of home-field advantage is already apparent—10 of the 16 season-opening wins came from home teams. So what’s that mean? It means visiting teams, be it football, basketball, hockey or baseball, need to step their game up! Crossing continents, playing in different timezones, and flying in cramped quarters might have a hand in the visiting team's performance, so it's no surprise that now there's a state-of-the-art traveling training facility in the sky.
