Madonna will follow in the footsteps of music legends The Rolling Stones, The Who, U2 and many more (who could forget the infamous Janet Jackson performance/nip slip?) as the Super Bowl
halftime entertainment, confirmed by E! News yesterday. Super Bowl XLVI will take place in Indianapolis’ Lucas Oil Stadium and air on NBC on February 5, 2012.

Coincidentally, Madonna will be releasing a new album soon with the first single to come out in February.
