City Guides: For the past three years, Chicago Gourmet has been showcasing the best and brightest culinary and wine masters that the Windy City has to offer. This year, the special event is adding some new features and keeping old favorites.
Amongst the new additions to the Chicago Gourmet are "the Bon Appétit Marketplace Tent and the Foodspring.com Specialty Food Pavilion, brought to you by the National Association for the Specialty Food Trade (NASFT). The Bon Appétit Marketplace Tent will offer guests the opportunity to meet and mingle with the magazines top editors and Executive Chef Cat Cora while enjoying sips, bites, and special promotions from their favorite brands." NAFST will also offer a Fancy Food Show consumer retail event: 60 specialty food and beverage purveyors who will showcase and sample their products.
Returning to the event will be Chicago's most innovative chefs, who will be available to demonstrate and interact with guests. The event will also showcase celebrity chefs, as well as on-stage cooking demonstrations. Presenters at this year's event include:

During the two-day event, event go-ers can also enjoy seminars on new gourmet food trends as well as wine, beer, spirits and other topics. Each seminar will offer the chance for everyone from gourmands to gourmets to experience great food and wine up close and personal. Seminars will also showcase master sommeliers, mixologists, winemakers, master brewers and master distillers throughout Chicago Gourmet, giving gourmet partakers the opportunity to taste some of the best spirits in the city.
In addition, for an added fee, oenophiles can enjoy the luxurious Grand Cru Tastings at Chicago Gourmet, an opportunity to taste some of the finest wines in the world, as selected by the master sommeliers.
The Chicago Gourmet 2010 event will be held in Millennium Park on Saturday, September 25 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, September 26 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
