The Waterfront Beach Resort: beautifully beachy

Surf City USA (Huntington Beach) is a playground of rolling waves, a pristine beach, plenty of activities and an all-around great destination. What helps to make that destination are the amenities in the area: restaurants, hotels, things to do, places to meet, and The Waterfront Beach Resort, a Hilton Hotel encapsulates all of the above.  So grab your board, slip into a fluffy robe, appease your appetite or lounge by the pool at this luxury resort by the ocean.

One of the first things I love about this property is the rooftop bar; not only does it afford sweeping views of Huntington Beach and is a great vantage point of the entire area, but the atmosphere is also lounge-y and high-end. Service is exceptional and real care has been taken with the menu. With an almost speakeasy-esque style entryway, the Offshore 9 Rooftop Lounge is a great spot to watch the sun set or grab a cocktail before or after dinner.

Henry’s Ocean View Dining is not to be missed on property. Far from a typical hotel restaurant, Henry’s excels at from-scratch dishes, a comfortable outdoor patio, beautiful dining room and seasonal, locally sourced fare. Check them out for breakfast, or enjoy dinner with ocean views.

Dock Bar is a great place for lunch or a cocktail later in the day, with live music, a comfortable space and approachable menu. The property is large, but guests don’t feel crowded or rushed in these spaces and dining opportunities. The essence of beach life with a calm, laid back attitude can be felt throughout, as well as the soothing color palate and placid artwork and décor elements throughout The Waterfront Beach Resort.

Home to two pools that have vastly different feels and paces, the resort affords amenities such as a waterslide for kids and a private beach patio with firepit for exclusive cabanas. An on-site day camp is available for children if parents are looking for a relaxing day by the pool or enjoying DRIFT spa. Multiple event spaces lend themselves to everything from family celebrations to full-blown galas and charity events.

Private balconies and ocean views afford guests relaxing rooms and suites at the resort. Ocean-inspired décor and colors make for a tranquil space, and a 1,090 square foot Presidential Suite in the Twin Dolphin Tower is complete with wrap-around balcony, living room, dining room, and private elevator to the Offshore 9 Rooftop Lounge.

Whether traveling for a beachside vacation, looking for a culinary inspired stay or vacationing with the family, there is something for everyone at The Waterfront Beach Resort. The walkable city, the beautiful resort with new updates, and the star of the show: the beach all make for an undeniable experience in Southern California.
