Denver's Best Bars and Lounges

Posted: Aug. 22nd, 2012  |  By Michael Pearse

While Denver might be best known for some amazing skiing and the Broncos, there is a great selection of nightlife locations that many seem to overlook when discussing this high-elevation city. With a bit of a focus on restaurants with lounges or bars rather than simple drinking holes, it seems that the better locations in Denver need some sort of sustenance to combat the hard winters that the area is (also) so well known for.

Ocean Prime - The bottom floor lounge attached to this restaurant provides an amazing Denver nightlife experience through expertly crafted cocktails, live music and superior service.

Green Russell - This swanky joint is located underneath a pie shop and has a much-desired speakeasy feel to it that so many other bars and lounges attempt but don’t quite follow through with. Reservations are required as this location is somewhat small.

Ship Tavern - Ship Tavern is a classy location that provides guests with friendly service, great cocktails and, for those looking for a meal, some great steaks. The pub-like atmosphere makes this a wonderful place to visit to unwind and enjoy a few drinks.

Churchill Bar - Sophisticated drinks, smooth cigars and a high-class atmosphere make Churchill Bar one of the best places for those accustomed to luxury to visit.
