There's nothing more shocking than losing a comrade, and though Kasey Kahne and Jason Leffler might have been competitors, his tragic loss of life in Berlin was the loss of a friend. Mourning his passing and making a special appearance in Berlin, Kahne spoke publicly about Leffler's passing with a moving display of camaraderie and loss.

Like all race car drivers, Kasey Kahne knows the risk every time he gets behind the steering wheel in any kind of race.

So when tragedy strikes, it hits close to home for the whole racing family.

On Wednesday, Jason Leffler, who made 73 starts in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, died while driving in a 410 sprint-car race on a dirt track at Bridgesport Speedway in New Jersey

Kahne was at Berlin Raceway on Saturday night as part of the pre-race activities to the ARCA/CRA Super Series Battle at Berlin 251, and talked about the loss of a fellow driver and friend.
