The modern property is mere steps away from the sand and a quick walk to the Circular Quay ferry to Sydney, which means you have easy access to the best of both worlds in one unforgettable stay.
Upon entering the lobby, you’ll instantly be transported to a zen state of mind thanks to the light and airy decor (designed by Coco Republic) complete with special touches in the foyer including candlelit aromas, spa water, and evening bubbles to set the mood during your stay. Just off the lobby is the buzzy hotspot Cibaria by Alessandra Pavoni of Ormeggio, which offers delectable bites of authentic Italian dishes including eggplant parmigiana fritters, squid ink spaghetti with crab meat, and gnocchi al pomodoro, to name a few; plus a whimsical gelateria next door, a vibrant bar, and so much more.
There’s also Bistro Manly, which is the hotel’s casual eatery that adds a touch of French Riviera charm alongside its bright seafood-forward menu. I only had the pleasure of dining there for breakfast, but was delighted to find a generous spread of pastries, fresh local fruits, a made-to-order omelette station, and a hot buffet selection of grilled tomatoes, fluffy pancakes, scrambled eggs, and the like. I particularly loved the wellness juices that were available to make straight from the juicer and a barista on hand to whip up any coffee concoction I requested. This was arguably one of the best hotel breakfasts in town, and a reason to book a stay here time and time again.
As for the guest rooms, they are best described as crisp, comfortable, and chic, with smart-controlled entertainment and climate systems, and breathtaking views of the beach— if you’re lucky enough to score a room on the oceanfront side. The hotel also has the Infinity Residence, plus nine suites, for those seeking more spacious accommodations, and plenty of amenities to make the most of your stay. The location can’t be beat for visitors who want a relaxing vibe that’s convenient to the beach yet elevated in every way. Rise with the sun and go for a beach stroll to start your day, and spend the early afternoon sauntering around local shops like Spell, Saint Valentine, and Sammy & Sid, before grabbing a flat white at Skittle Lane for a midday caffeine boost.
After a long day out, head back to the hotel for a bit of relaxation and full-body rejuvenation at the sparkling rooftop pool. The picturesque scene is complete with bold black-and-white striped sun umbrellas and lounge chairs, a dreamy respite to take in the fresh ocean air and scenic views. Not to be missed is the in-house infrared sauna, which is available for one-hour sessions with an advanced booking. If you ask me, a sauna session is a traveler’s dream since it’s effective for detoxing the system, improving circulation, and easing body aches after a long day exploring the best of New South Wales.
