If you put Jimmy Kimmel, Matt LeBlanc, Kerry Washington, Conan O’Brien, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Taraji P. Henson (Empire’s breakout star) and Julia Louis-Dreyfus in your promo video, you’re pretty much guaranteed our attention. So when Marriott International did just that, our interested was piqued. In partnership with The Variety Studio: Actors on Actors, the Autograph Collection Hotels recently released a short video presenting their new Individualists series, a collection of stories from Hollywood’s best actors.

The under two-minute clip spotlights tastemakers who are creative pioneers and inspiring individualists in their fields. The video content is the brand’s first initiative collaborating with the world’s best-known storytellers in film, television, art, photography, literature and design to help tell the narratives behind each hotel’s unique story.

The tastemakers were selected for having the same independent attitude and originality that is found within the brand. Featuring one-on-one conversations with each other, the actors have participated in on-air vignettes to discuss their craft and inspiration through travel. The first of its series is an interview with Scandal’s Kerry Washington who discusses living and traveling in India after graduating from college. “I wanted to go somewhere where the performing arts were really rooted in culture because I had an idea that I was going to pursue this as a career by this point in college,” shares Washington.

Additional featured conversations will include Liev Schreiber & Maggie Gyllenhaal, Julianna Margulies & Clive Owen, Queen Latifah & Taraji P. Henson and Julia Louis Dreyfus & Jeffrey Tambor. Starting June 1, 2015, Variety.com will run 16 conversations from the series, and PBS SoCal stations will televise two episodes during the month.
