Nestled along the Pacific coastline just outside San Diego lies La Costa Resort and Spa; a haven for kids and adults, alike. The first segment of an expansive $50 million renovation has just been revealed and the result is nothing short of spectacular.
Paul McCormick, General Manager and Vice President of La Costa describes the property as having a “tremendous sense of place.” Located just two miles from the ocean, La Costa has a rejuvenating feel, which following the first refinements of the renovation, is now even more apparent. The resort’s guestrooms and suites have all been redesigned to bring the outside in, which has been elegantly achieved with the addition of a rich color palate inspired by the elements on the property. Even the bathrooms exude a sense of luxury with oversized tubs, marble features and spa amenities including the ever indulgent, Coco Mango lotion.
The Spa itself, recently named number one in Southern California, boasts a new treatment menu featuring a Spanish herbal body rub, berry bliss slimming wrap and luminous C to sea facial. One could easily spend hours enjoying the picturesque 15,000-square-foot outdoor courtyard showcasing a reflexology path, herb garden, pool, Jacuzzi and café.
La Costa is largely considered one of the premiere pool facilities on the west coast and with good reason. Aside from a toy-filled toddler beach, the property also features multiple pools, various waterslides and slated for fall 2011, luxurious infinity edge Jacuzzis overlooking the resorts’ soon to be remodeled championship golf courses.
Of the goal of the renovation, McCormick says, “We wanted to make some noticeable differences so we were poised to pounce and really take La Costa to the next level.” Thanks to the team’s hard work, dedication and attention to detail, they can proudly consider this a mission accomplished.
