British chef Jamie Oliver has become a darling of the food world, thanks to his good looks and easy-going personality. His success on numerous television shows has turned the humble cook into an international sensation, selling numerous cookbooks and introducing healthy cooking back into the home.
Born in 1975 in Essex, England, Oliver grew up in the kitchen of his parents’ highly respected pub/restaurant The Cricketers in Clavering. Following culinary school, Oliver ended up in the kitchen at River Café with Rose Gray and Ruth Rogers. After appearing in a documentary about the River Café, Oliver was offered his own television series and the Naked Chef was born.
