Stevie Wonder cancelled a benefit concert for Friends of the Israel Defnse Forces upon the suggestion of the United Nations.  Here's the scoop: Wonder is an official Messenger of Peace for the UN organization.  And if you been following world news, you are probably aware that the UN recently made the decision to upgrade Palestine's (Israel's foe) status within the organization (in which Israel is a member of).  So that put Wonder in a very delicate situation between his role with UN and his showing support for Israel.  The concert was scheduled to take place December 6th.

The music legend has canceled a concert he had scheduled for next week to benefit Friends of the Israel Defense Forces at the suggestion of the United Nations, for which he serves as an official Messenger of Peace—and which just made thecontroversial decision to upgrade Palestine's status within the international body to nonmember observer.
