Let’s face it, the color was right on the money, but the cut did not do her justice. Now sure, a form fitting dress would do little to flatter the aging senator’s figure, and a pantsuit is perfect blend of pleasant yet professional, but Hilary Clinton’s particular choice of style at the Council of Fashion Designers of America fell far short of the gold.

Hillary Clinton knows her favorite wardrobe staple has a special place in fashion.

The former secretary of state joked about it with a receptive crowd Monday night at the Council of Fashion Designers of America awards. With the evening’s host, Bravo executive, Andy Cohen, standing nearby, Clinton pitched a new reality show for his network.

“We can call it ‘Project Pantsuit,’” she said.

Clinton went on to present the night’s highest honor, the Founder’s Award, to Oscar de la Renta, whom she called “a dear friend.”

The former first lady recalled their first meeting in Dec. 1993 in a receiving line at the Kennedy Center Honors. The designer had noted she was wearing one of his designs at the time. (Read More)
