Something about the professional sports scene seems to draw the worst of fashion out, but this year’s French Open was an absolute congo-line of fashion calamities the likes of which the world is not likely to see again. From Gael Monfil’s clashing asics outfit to Olga Puchkova’s purple and pink nightmare, no one it seemed was immune. Even Venus Willaims was spotted in a garish pink tutu-like eyesore.

Cold weather has wreaked havoc on the fashion scene at the French Open. Springtime in Paris is supposed to be when the City of Lights is bathed in sunshine and the red terre battue shimmers with life. Instead, it’s just been gray and drab, so cold that the players have been forced to bundle up in leggings and long sleeves before they can get a proper sweat going.
