Setting sales records, the luxury automotive is having a smashing year. Reporting higher revenues across the board, British-made Bentley Motors is the latest to report increasing sales for the first half of 2013. The firm reported a nine-percent increase in sales in a year, selling 4,279 vehicles through June 2013 compared to selling 3,929 cars at the same time last year.

At large, sales from the U.S., UK and China remain steady. Emerging markets such as Brazil, India, Russia and the Middle East are improving and continue to rise.

“Bentley continues to post significant global sales growth, and we are extremely confident we will sustain this success for the remaining months of 2013,” Kevin Rose, a Bentley Motor’s board Member specializing in Marketing and Sales, told Automotive World.

In Asia Pacific, 222 cars were sold, representing a 53-percent increase. Bentley delivered 96 cars to Japan and 817 to China through the first half-year 2013. While Japan showed a 28 percent increase in cars sold, China’s numbers decreased by 23 percent. Russia showed a four-percent increase within the first six months of 2013 when Bentley delivered 110 cars.

Likewise showing a twenty-eight percent increase, in the Middle East, sales of 394 vehicles have been reported.
Bentley’s largest region, the Americas, showed a twelve-percent increase through the first half of 2013, selling 1,282 vehicles to consumers.

“This success has been supported by the introduction of new models, with the Continental GT Speed and Continental GT Speed Convertible proving successful across multiple regions, while the existing GT W12, V8 and Mulsanne models maintain their strong performance,” says Rose.

Additionally, Bentley added fourteen new dealerships to enhance its global presence, which added a thirteen-percent expansion compared to the previous year.
