Audi has pulled the wraps off the Nuvolari, a groundbreaking hybrid supercar that marks a new chapter for the German automaker. Combining Formula 1-inspired technology, advanced lightweight construction, and breathtaking performance, the limited-production model is set to become the most powerful and fastest road-going Audi ever built.
Limited to just 499 examples worldwide, deliveries are scheduled to begin in the first half of 2027.
Named after legendary Italian racing driver Tazio Nuvolari, the new flagship embodies Audi’s vision for the future of high-performance motoring. With a combined output of 1,001 horsepower and a top speed exceeding 350 km/h (217 mph), the Nuvolari is designed to push the boundaries of what a road car can achieve.
Performance figures are nothing short of extraordinary. Audi claims the supercar will sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.6 seconds and reach 200 km/h in 6.8 seconds. These numbers are made possible by a sophisticated hybrid powertrain and a suite of technologies derived from the company’s motorsport programs.
At the heart of the Nuvolari is a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 paired with three axial-flux electric motors. Together, they generate 736 kW, or 1,001 horsepower. The combustion engine alone produces 800 horsepower and revs to an astonishing 10,000 rpm, a figure more commonly associated with race cars than production vehicles.
Two electric motors mounted on the front axle provide instant torque and enable advanced torque-vectoring capabilities, while a third motor positioned between the engine and transmission supports both performance and efficiency. Power is managed through an advanced all-wheel-drive system that Audi calls quattro predictive ride.

The system continuously analyzes steering inputs, acceleration, grip levels, and vehicle dynamics to proactively distribute power and maintain stability. Rather than reacting after traction is lost, the technology anticipates changing conditions and adjusts torque delivery, braking, and aerodynamic settings in real time.
Drivers can tailor the experience through multiple drive modes, ranging from a fully electric setting for urban driving to performance-focused Dynamic and Dynamic+ modes. A dedicated Track Mode further refines traction and stability settings for use on a racetrack.
The Nuvolari also introduces a new interpretation of Audi’s design language. Built around a mid-engine layout, the supercar features dramatic proportions, clean surfaces, and a distinctly modern appearance. Audi’s new Titanium exterior finish, paired with extensive carbon-fiber detailing, highlights the vehicle’s sculpted form while reinforcing its technical character.
Lightweight engineering plays a central role in the car’s development. Audi combines its renowned Audi Space Frame architecture with a carbon-fiber exterior, creating a structure designed for maximum rigidity and minimum weight. Nearly all exterior panels are constructed from carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer, utilizing manufacturing techniques derived from Formula 1.
Forged center-lock wheels, another first for a production Audi, further emphasize the car’s motorsport pedigree.

Aerodynamics have been carefully optimized to balance high-speed stability and efficiency. Every exterior element serves a functional purpose, from the front splitter and diffuser to the integrated cooling channels that manage airflow around the vehicle.
The centerpiece of the aerodynamic package is an adaptive rear wing that automatically adjusts according to driving conditions. Depending on speed and performance demands, the wing can deploy to generate additional downforce or retract to reduce drag. Audi says the system is capable of producing more than 400 kilograms of downforce in its most aggressive configuration.
A Formula 1-style Drag Reduction System (DRS) can also be activated to reduce aerodynamic drag and maximize straight-line performance.
Inside, Audi has adopted a minimalist, driver-focused philosophy. The cockpit places essential controls and information directly within the driver’s field of view while reducing distractions. Digital displays are complemented by carefully positioned physical controls, creating a balance between advanced technology and intuitive usability.
The interior is divided into two distinct visual zones. The forward section features darker materials intended to enhance driver focus, while lighter tones in the rear create a sense of contrast and spaciousness. Premium materials, anodized aluminum accents, and extensive craftsmanship underscore the vehicle’s flagship status.

Lightweight carbon-fiber seats complete the package, providing both structural rigidity and exceptional support during spirited driving.
Beyond the impressive specifications, the Nuvolari serves as a statement of intent for Audi. It showcases the company’s ability to transfer motorsport innovations into a road-going vehicle while signaling a bold new direction for performance engineering.
