Every summer we find ourselves looking for the best way to beat the heat. This summer, we decided to kick it up a notch with a treat for those of us that are still kids at heart. Introducing: the wine popsicle. Delicious? Check. Healthy? Sort of. Boozy? You bet. In other words, they’re perfect. Check out some of our favorites below:

Chocolate Dipped Strawberry Red Wine Popsicles
All of our favorite things in one place! Yes, please. For this recipe, you’ll need a heap of fresh strawberries, a cup of your favorite red wine (we prefer the Santa Rita 120 or Alta Luna Pinot Noir!) and balsamic vinegar to blend into a perfectly sweet-savory mixture. After freezing, dip your popsicles in melted dark chocolate and enjoy!

Peach Moscato and Raspberry Popsicle
Pretty much the most ladylike way to have your drink and eat it, too. This super simple recipe requires a half pound of peaches, sugar, a Moscato wine such as Cavit, and a handful of frozen raspberries, all blended until velvety. Place mixtures in molds, drop in a few more raspberries if you like, freeze, and savor.

This pop is basically a portable summer picnic. You’re welcome. Recreate all those summer feelings by blending chunks of fresh watermelon with a half cup of Pinot Grigio (we love Bottega Vinaia or Cavit), with a shot of vodka and half shot of Bauchant Orange Liqueur for an extra kick! Feel free to add simple syrup for extra sweetness, too. Freeze, relish in that flavor, you know the drill.

Because chasing after the ice cream truck as an adult is not exactly kosher. This recipe requires simmering a cup of red wine on low heat until it reduces and can be mixed with equal amounts of chocolate chips and milk (about a cup and a half each). Once mixture is smooth, pour into molds and freeze. So much easier than chasing the ice cream man, right?
