The first Ferretti Yachts 720 bound for the American market was launched in November at the Ferretti Group’s state-of-the-art shipyard in Ravenna, marking an important milestone in the brand’s production journey. This launch also signals a first for Ferretti Yachts: the 720 is the inaugural flybridge model built at the group’s 100,000-square-metre advanced manufacturing facility.
A refined evolution of a proven success, the Ferretti Yachts 720 debuts in a completely reimagined form. While preserving the defining characteristics of the previous generation, the new model introduces updated aesthetics, enhanced comfort, and advanced technical solutions that reflect the brand’s forward-looking design philosophy. The exterior styling was developed in collaboration with architect Filippo Salvetti, while Ideaeitalia curated the interiors, delivering a seamless dialogue between form and function.
With an overall length of 22.5 metres (73ft 10in) and a beam of 5.60 metres (18ft 4in), the Ferretti Yachts 720 was developed by the Product Strategy Committee—chaired by Piero Ferrari—in close partnership with the Ferretti Group Engineering Department. The result is a yacht that prioritizes generous onboard living, optimized spatial layouts comparable to larger vessels, and a significant increase in storage throughout.
From the exterior, the yacht’s profile is sleeker and more dynamic, enhanced by expanded glazing in both the main lounge and master suite, allowing natural light to flood the interiors. A newly designed flybridge hard top increases shaded areas, while the redefined gunwale strengthens the connection between interior and exterior spaces.
Inside, Ideaeitalia reimagined volumes and sightlines to create a warm, open, and convivial atmosphere. Carefully selected materials balance elegance with comfort, while the Contemporary décor chosen for the first unit introduces a fresh, modern palette inspired by the sea.
The main deck offers multiple access points to the lounge, including a port-side hinged door and twin sliding doors to starboard. Spacious sofas—typically found on larger yachts—anchor the living area. A key innovation is the separation between the lounge and the galley and wheelhouse, achieved via a sliding glass door and optional hi-lo window, enhancing privacy without sacrificing openness.
Below deck, the Ferretti Yachts 720 features four well-appointed cabins, including a full-beam master suite and VIP cabin, both with en-suite bathrooms, alongside two twin cabins. Dedicated crew quarters with direct cockpit access ensure efficient onboard operations.
Powered by twin 1,400 hp MAN V12 engines, the Ferretti Yachts 720 reaches a top speed of 32 knots and cruises comfortably at 28 knots. A Seakeeper NG10 gyroscopic stabilizer and WATCHIT Antigrounding System complete the package, delivering confidence, comfort, and control at sea.
