Not to sound harsh, but we’re kind of sick of collaborations. Celebrities that wouldn’t know style if it smacked them in the face are suddenly coming out with collections left and right, joining with this brand or designing for that brand—it’s kind of the thing to do. It’s like a hobby—instead of collecting stamps they make collections. And usually they aren’t very good, which is why it’s such a breath of fresh air that the newest partnership between Harper’s BAZAAR and Stuart Weitzman is a line created by two companies that actually know what they’re doing—took long enough.

Created by four of Harper’s BAZAAR’s editors, Fashion Market and Accessories Director Nicole Fritton, Style Director Joanna Hillman, Executive Accessories Editor Sam Broekema and Senior Accessories Editor Amanda Weiner, with the design team at Stuart Weitzman, the collection has sartorial simplicity written all over it. Coming in four styles (one for each editor), each shoe is simple, straightforward and perfect for filling up any gaps in your shoe closet. Sure they won't win you any style awards, but they're great basics.

"We are delighted to partner with Stuart Weitzman on the first-ever capsule collection specifically created for ShopBAZAAR," says Carol Smith, Vice President, Publisher and Chief Revenue Officer of Harper's BAZAAR. "The BAZAAR reader considers shoes a crucial element—and often the defining element—of her individual look. This collection reinforces ShopBAZAAR's position as a leader in online shopping and ownable style."

And ownable style is right. If you’re not a fan of sky-high heels, or maybe you detest flats, there’s something here for you. A sleek twist on closet staples, the four styles cover the basic silhouettes. The Nudist, a sexy design by Nicole Fritton, is a black sandal with a four and a half inch stiletto heel. For something a little closer to the ground, the Flames Pump is a pointy, suede heel in a bright orange-red, and the Riviera Sandal is a flat, nude, chunky slip-on that mimics the look of street style bloggers. The last shoe is our favorite for spring; Rosy is a metallic sandal with black straps and rose-gold detailing.

"Through the years, Harper's BAZAAR has always been such a fashion bible for me, so it was an absolute thrill to be the first to collaborate with their editors on this exciting project," said Stuart Weitzman. "From sky-high stilettos to chic flats, there is something for every woman in this capsule collection."

The collection is available online at ShopBAZAAR and priced from $298-$398.
