Madrid Events

The Fiesta de la Almudena is held in Madrid and is the most traditional festival in Spain. The people of Madrid come to stroll around the Plaza Mayor with blankets and coats, which celebrates a Mass in honor of the patroness of the city, the Virgen de la Almudena. Most devotees accompany their patroness in the procession and take part in a wreath.
