It seems that Dubai will stop at nothing to have the biggest, best, most over-the-top theme parks, hotels, restaurants, basically everything. When it comes to pulling out all the stops, the city knows how to top itself each year. Set to debut in 2018, one of its newest projects is a 75,000-square-foot, man-made rainforest at the $550-million Rosemont Hotel and Residences.

Designed by ZAS Architects Dubai, the rainforest will include a splash pool, café and an artificial beach—because, why not? The terrarium will have adventure trails, a prehistoric Jurassic-inspired marsh, play zones, waterfalls, streams and of course, humidity created by recycled water. Its sensory rain system will also create the sense of rainfall; meaning, you won’t actually get wet.

Along with the rainforest, the hotel will feature a glass-bottomed sky pool, three restaurants, robotic luggage handlers, an indoor bowling alley and a trampoline park. The 1.1-million-square-foot development will feature two towers, one will function as a 53-story hotel with 448 rooms.

The other will be a 55-story apartment building with 280 furnished residences and a 6,300-square-foot presidential penthouse with its own swimming pool and waterfall feature, spa, Jacuzzi and sauna.
