Disney Cruise Line recently unveiled its newest ship, the Disney Adventure while in Singapore. This is the first Disney Cruise Line ship to have its homeport in Asia, bringing convenience and Disney magic to new regions for new and beloved fans.
During the special event, Chairman of Disney Experiences and incoming Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company, Josh D’Amaro, joined President of Disney Signature Experiences, Joe Schott, and Robert Downey Jr., the godparent of the Disney Adventure.
“The Walt Disney Company has always been built on the power of storytelling and innovation – and Disney Cruise Line brings those values to life in extraordinary ways. Our cruise ships are ambassadors of our brand that carry joy, wonder and enchantment to destinations around the world,” said D’Amaro. “As our first ship to homeport in Asia, the Disney Adventure represents a new chapter for Disney Cruise Line and will introduce Disney to audiences who may be experiencing our magic for the very first time. It offers fans across this region an opportunity to immerse themselves in unforgettable ways and create memories that are uniquely Disney.”
In the Walt Disney Theatre aboard the ship, guests witnessed the magic of Disney storytelling come to life through regional vocalists and musicians, incredible video effects, and star-studded surprises, including special appearances from Captain Mickey Mouse and Captain Minnie Mouse.

Since 1998, Disney Cruise Line has established itself as a leader in the cruise industry. The elegant ships provide a setting where families can reconnect. There are also places for adults to recharge at the spa and pool, while children get to experience all Disney has to offer.
Passengers can explore seven immersive areas inspired by Disney, Pixar, and Marvel stories. There is an Imagination Garden offers gardens in with a castle stage, and ocean inspired Discovery Reef with an underwater design. Over at San Fransokyo Street based on Big Hero 6, this area offers a vibrant street market vibe. Frozen is a snowy Arendelle-style environment where Anna and Elsa live, and Marvel Landing has Disney’s first rollercoaster at sea.
The ship features many ‘firsts’ for the cruise line, and Marvel’s Iron Man, Ironcycle Test Run is reported to be the longest roller coaster at sea, extending more than 820 feet. Guests can board this thrill ride in the ship’s immersive superhero themed Marvel Landing.

The size of the ship is a first too. At about 208,000 gross tons and around 6,700 passengers, this is significantly bigger than earlier Disney ships. She is the first ship with four funnels, and her staterooms include luxury concierge suites and family-friendly cabins.
There are two main pools and one quieter pool on the Disney Adventure. These areas are a big part of ship board life, providing shows, slides, swimming, and family activities.
At the back of the ship is a Moana-themed main pool at Wayfinder Bay. Guests sit on lounge chairs among a tiered deck setting. The playful Toy Story Place pool is a family friendly water park area. There is also a private ‘retreat’ pool located at the exclusive Concierge Pool. It’s more quiet and upscale for concierge guests only.

The three and four-night itineraries with no port of call is also a new concept for the company. The ship is the journey and the destination offered to guests is all of the activities, dining and shows at sea.
Like the other Disney Cruise Line ships, guests have the opportunity to dine at a different restaurant each night. They offer rotational dining where guests rotate along with their servers, which helps develop the relationship between diner and wait staff.
There are six rotational dining restaurants on the Disney Adventure. Guests can dine at Hollywood Spotlight Club, Navigator’s Club, Animator’s Palate (also featured on four of the other Disney cruise ships), Animator’s Table, Enchanted Summer Restaurant and Pixar Market Restaurant.

Disney Cruise Line continues to rapidly expand its blueprint for family cruising with a fleet of seven ships — the Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny — and six more ships are on the way by 2031.
The Disney Cruise Line fleet sails to destinations in The Bahamas, the Caribbean, Europe, Alaska, Mexico, Canada, Hawaii, the South Pacific, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand.
