Whether it's celebrating Independence Day with the Americans or enjoying the beautiful talent of the Havana Rakatan at The Norwegian Opera and Ballet, this weekend is looking hot for Oslo. No longer just a sleepy town near the top of the world, Oslo has slowly but steadily as a hotspot of culture and excitement.

We have picked up 5 different weekend activities that cater to every age and every taste.

1. Green Day Concert at Ullevål

Green Day is one of the world’s biggest bands, and their ambitious three-album project "¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, ¡Tré!" brings them to Oslo with lots of great new songs.

The band last played in Oslo to a packed Ullevaal Stadium in June 2010 and they take the stage again at Ullevaal Stadion on this Sunday, 30.06.2013 at 19:30.

2. The U.S. Independence Day Celebration at Frognerparken

The American Coordinating Council of Norway (ACCN) invites everyone to to the 28th celebration of America’s Independence Day in Oslo.
