Vanity Fair Releases 2012 Best-Dressed List, Middleton Reigns at the Top

The Vanity-Fair best-dress list hits newsstands this week and it is no surprise that the Duchess of Cambridge reigns in at number one. This is Kate Middleton’s third consecutive year on the elite fashion list. The royal, iconic beauty is known for her always classic, sophisticated style and never fails to turn heads. (The $55,000 funding from Prince William for her timeless threads was clearly a great investment.)Whether she is at the Olympics, a high-profile gala or on a day outing with her beau, her selections and fashion are never forced, but rather worn with grace and ease on her petite feminine frame. She is a designer’s dream doll for new versions of classic looks, but Middleton stays true to her personality, poise and class with her wardrobe selection, mixing high- and low- end styles together for realistic day-to-day wear. She also stays loyal to her country; touting British designers like Alexander McQueen, Alice Temperley and Matthew Williamson

Kate is not the only royalty on the best-dressed list; her brother-in-law, Prince Harry made the cut this year and Monaco’s Charlotte Casiraghi, daughter of Princess Caroline who also has a keen eye for style and fashion. Prince William, however did not make the cut this time around, but seems more than happy to step back and let his bride shine in the spotlight. The Vanity Fair best-dressed list is in the September 2012 Issue, releasing on August 7.
