It seems that Marc Jacobs fans got a little extra something-something in their Instagram feed yesterday. It wasn’t a behind-the scene image from his latest campaign or even a sneak peak of his upcoming collection—the designer accidentally posted a nude selfie on social media. Meaning to share the image through a direct message, the photo was posted to his over 200,000 Instagram followers with the caption “It’s yours to try!” Oh my. Jacobs quickly realized his mistake and took the image down, but not before someone screen snapped the post. Unfortunately, the damage was done and his bare (but well-chiseled) bum will live on forever on the internet.
This morning Dazed reported that he had responded to the nude photo saying, “Yeah. I accidentally posted a pic of my bare ass and took it down. I was flirting with someone I met on Instagram. Meant to send it by DM. Oops, my mistake. I apologize to anyone it offended. I'm a gay man. I flirt and chat with guys online sometimes. BIG DEAL!” No complaints here, Marc. Feel free to post all the nudies you want.
