It was an epic evening of gorgeous gowns, top-notch talent and glamorous photo opportunities at every turn as the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s annual ball in New York City. Endearingly referred to as 'Oscar night' in the fashion community, the Costume Institute Gala is indeed a spectacle of style as Hollywood stars and notable fashion insiders gather to pay homage to incredible artistic talent and creative expression.
This year, VOGUE's Anna Wintour, designer Miuccia Prada, and actress Carey Mulligan hosted the stylish soiree, which toasted the “Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations” exhibition at the museum. Needless to say, there was no shortage of flamboyant fashion moments by Prada to appreciate. Mulligan shined in a glittering Prada dress. The silhouette gave off a demure retro vibe, while the fabrication was undoubtedly futuristic.

The statuesque blonde showed some skin and turned heads in a minimalistic grey mini dress by Prada.

The ravishing future Mrs. Timberlake stunned in a subtle cream and mint green frock with intricate beadwork. Sexy bangs and simple accessories finished off her sophisticated look perfectly.
Ed Westwick
Even the men got in on the Prada trend, with Westwick sporting a classically sharp, tailormade black suit with skinny tie.
Diane Kruger
Kruger looked effortlessly chic in a floaty deep purple gown, adorned with full feathers on the hem. A long gold pendant necklace gave off a relaxed yet regal vibe.
