Sophisticated Elegance for Spring by Elie Saab

Elie Saab Spring Summer 2013 Ready to Wear

Though the leaves are just starting to change color, spring is already in the air— or at least in the world of luxury fashion, it is. And even though it was just this week that we enjoyed our much-anticipated first pumpkin spice lattes of the year, designers like Elie Saab are already getting us giddy about next season. From New York to Paris, the runways are covered in pastels and florals that have us already looking forward to the spring ahead. Elie Saab Spring Summer 2013 Ready to Wear
As indicated by his show notes, the look that Saab created for next season is for a woman that could be “an artist, a photographer, a blogger or a philanthropist.” In other words, the everyday, multi-faceted, multitasking heroine. His ready-to-wear line is casually elegant and versatile— bright, flowy dresses, button-down shirts, sculpted jackets, and shorts are prominent elements. The daytime outfits are sophisticated and classy and are appropriate for the working woman. Flap pocket trousers, pencil skirts, and V-neck dresses in monochrome colors like royal blue, turquoise and raspberry pink are suitable for the chic business gal. Saab’s eveningwear is expectedly charming, featuring both cocktail numbers and gowns that are sculpted at the waist with grosgrain. Beautiful embroidery and sequins can be found on most of the evening pieces, and geometric lace strategically traces the curves of the body. The looks produced are effortlessly elegant, and are appropriate for cocktail parties and formal events alike. Elie Saab Spring Summer 2013 Ready to Wear
