Okay, we get it. Everyone is in love with Lupita Nyong’o’s green Gucci stunner at the Cannes Film Festival, but can we focus on Fan Bingbing’s gown for a second? Don’t get us wrong we love Lupita, but we kind of feel like Bingbing isn’t getting the attention she deserves. Her stunning Ralph & Russo gown was inspired by her home country of China and is set with 10,000 Swarovski crystals. It took over 1,000 hours of work from 30 artisans to hand-embroider both the dress and train. We love Nyong’o’s look but, come on, there’s no contest. Other stand out looks included Karlie Kloss’ Atelier Versace’s jumpsuit-maxi dress-thing and Naomi Watts’ soft, feathered Elie Saab gown. Of course, it was only the first night of the French event so we have yet to see who will really take home the title of best dressed.
