Victoria Beckham Named Range Rover’s Creative Design Executive

News & Trends: Pop-star turned style icon Victoria Beckham is about to add another notch to her design belt, as she has just been announced to be designing the interior of luxury vehicle maker Range Rover.

Victoria was named creative design executive at Range Rover, and has lent her style sensibility to the new special edition Range Rover Evoque.

Victoria says, "I am incredibly excited to be collaborating with Range Rover. I like to take on a challenge and I'm ready for it."

Before a celebrity-packed audience gathered for its unveiling, Land Rover design director Gerry McGovern said, "This lady knows a lot about fashion and a lot about trends, a lot about luxury products."

About the new Range Rover, which is set to be the greenest in the Range Rover fleet, McGovern explained, "In 2008 we introduced the LRX concept car. After a positive reception worldwide, the natural step for the business was to turn the LRX concept car into reality."

"Tonight we wanted to show the world that we have stayed true to our word and delivered a car that completely represents the spirit of the LRX concept."

The new Range Rover will be available for sale next year from £30,000.
