The transaction not only marked Concierge's seventh sale within the private oceanfront residential community, it was also the 28th luxury property in Hawaii sold by the luxury auction house.
"When our client decided to accelerate the timing of sale, I suggested the auction process through Concierge Auctions versus the uncertainty of whether or not a price reduction would spark sufficient interest and generate a timely sale," said Jim Schneider, president of the Kuki’o Golf and Beach Club. "We are pleased with the results and the global response that was generated. It was a wonderful experience working with the whole Concierge team and we look forward to the next opportunity to do so."
The final bidding was narrowed down from 649 prospects to just five bidders. A Tom Fazio-designed 10-hole golf course is among the key amenities of Hiwa Lani, which includes 7,520 square feet of living space. It has four bedrooms, four full and three one-half bathrooms. It also includes a large backyard with an infinity pool, hot tub, sunken bar, and a fire pit. Additionally, there is a gourmet kitchen, a custom-designed 500-bottle wine display, a media room with five televisions within one large screen and a library with over 700 titles.
"The sale of Hiwa Lani — Concierge Auctions' 28th successful luxury property auction in Hawaii and seventh sale specifically in the Kuki'o community — is a testament to the fact that the auction process is becoming one of the most effective ways to connect affluent buyers and sellers of luxury real estate," said Chad Roffers, head of client services for Concierge Auctions. "Continuing the momentum from today's sale, we are enthusiastically looking ahead to next Tuesday's auction of the magnificent estate, Le Grande Vues at Red Mountain in Aspen, Colorado."
