Fifty Shades of Grey is officially out and whether you like it or not, you really can’t deny that Christian Grey has some serious style—from his tailored suits and arsenal of Audis to his penthouse apartment in Seattle’s Escala. Universal even set up an online virtual tour of the billionaire’s pad, which takes you through the set and acts as a basic how-to guide in terms of decorating your own home. In fact, why don’t you take it one step further and bring out your inner dom by snatching up one of Escala’s last remaining penthouses (yes, the building exists) and decorating accordingly? After viewing the film, we picked out our favorite 15 featured pieces—including three from the Red Room—to make it easier for you to replicate the look.

Luxury design brand KOKET was the official brand behind the set design for the film, supplying many of the great furniture and décor pieces seen onscreen. "My passion and mission with KOKET is to create highly desirable, empowering statement pieces. The essence of my pieces dreamily complements the film’s aura of desire, passion and power. Although I never thought my [Guilty Pleasures] collection would be powerful enough to grace the set of Fifty Shades of Grey, our inclusion has revealed the influence of exceptional design,” says Janet Morais, Creative Director and Founder.

Vivre Sconce

Christian Grey knows how important lighting can be to set the mood, which is why his penthouse is filled with soft sconces and chandeliers. On the walls framing the entrance to the kitchen, there are two Vivre Sconces from KOKET that offer a modern profile using dark earth tones and burnished gold metal. In the middle is an Agate stone that comes in a variety of colors. The stone is cut thinly enough that the light from the bulb is able to filter through for a muted glow.

Tally Ho

The movie doesn’t actually spend much time in the Red Room, but what you see certainly leaves its mark. The Tally Ho chair (£9,500; $14,615) from Mark Brazier-Jones has been around for 10 years and can be found in the Flashman Collection, but this version was customized specially for the film. Upholstered in rich green Italian velvet (it's also available in English leather), the unique chair can be used for…well, you can figure it out. It would also lend itself well to burlesque shows and we can easily picture a soft pink one on stage with the likes of Dita Von Teese—if she doesn’t have one already, that is.

Burlesque Console

Speaking of burlesque, the Burlesque Console from KOKET doesn’t look like it should be able to stand on its polished brass loops, but it does. Inspired by French cabaret, the console is one of the more eclectic items in the penthouse (seen in the photo below) and we love it. The gleaming metal is paired with black low pile velvet embossed with a cobra print on the top, as well as four drawers with black crystal embellishments.

Ike Floor

Another great soft lighting solution is a minimal lamp, like the Ike Floor design from Delightful. In collaboration with a Dutch designer, Ike can be seen in the corner of the above photo, its simple profile blending in with the modern décor scheme. Made using brass and aluminum, the lamp has three bulbs, and is black and gold plated.

Sequoia Table

Brabbu’s low Sequoia Table can be found in the penthouse’s living room and was inspired by the world’s largest trees. The surface veneer is actually made from walnut and is meant to show the “passage of the years,” with the matte brass bark base resembling a cut tree trunk.

Symphony Sideboard

The Symphony Sideboard from Boca Do Lobo is perhaps one of the neatest uses of musical pipes we’ve ever seen—not that we’ve come across that many. You can spot this sideboard in Christian’s formal dining room, positioned in front of floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the Seattle skyline. The polished brass tubes probably aren’t real instruments, but they certainly look the part. Inside you will find two glass shelves to keep your handcuffs and zip ties hidden from prying eyes.

Avenue Folding Screen

Though this one is barely glimpsed in the film, you can definitely spot it in the above photo taken from Universal’s tour of Christian’s penthouse. The elegant Avenue Folding Screen is from Boca Do Lobo’s Coolors Collection and would look pretty great placed anywhere. Sure, it’s technically supposed to be used to separate spaces, but if Christian can break the rules, so can you. According to the company, the screen is “composed of six rotating panels finished in gold leaf with a high gloss varnish, black high gloss lacquer, and a geometric mosaic of walnut veneer and a book matched ebony veneer covered with high gloss varnish.”

Mademoiselle Armoire

KOKET has been keeping quiet about where their Mademoiselle Armoire shows up, but we’re pretty sure we spotted it in the Red Room. With so many distractions though, we could be mistaken. Regardless, the French-inspired design is meant to represent femininity with its ornate butterfly design that's displayed against a silk backing. The interior—featuring nine mirror drawers and two glass shelves—is covered in gold leaf and finished with a high-gloss varnish.

Desire Sofa and Chair

Seen in Anastasia’s bedroom, the Desire Sofa and Chair are the perfect soft compliment to a muted color scheme. The design of each is lifted off the floor thanks to the matte gold hammered brass band that outlines the entire piece. KOKET offers the satin furniture in various colors, but we are definitely partial to the cream, which looks classy and sophisticated.

Detention Cabinet

Mark Brazier-Jones’ Detention Cabinet is aptly named. The raised box is covered in plush Italian velvet, inside and out, which is good because you wouldn’t want to be in there if it weren’t soft. The front opens via two doors, which are cut in a way that allows room for your neck and wrists. Think of the gallows, only super sexy. We aren’t quite sure what the hanging hoop is used for though…

The aluminum version starts at £13,000 ($20,016) and the bronze model starts at £15,000 ($23,096).

Model F278 Grand Piano

What luxury penthouse is complete without a stunning piano? The one used in the film is the Model F278 grand piano from Fazioli, made using red spruce from Val di Fiemme, Italy. Seen as one of the best pianos money can buy (costing around $180,000), the F278 gives a smooth, rich sound that is suitable for concerts and recording. Some even say it makes magic when played in the lower register.

Improved Rack Moose #3 by Michael Joo

You don’t get to see the Improved Rack Moose #3 by Michael Joo up close in the film, but it still manages to stand out. It lends just the right amount of masculinity and danger to the sleek penthouse without being overwhelming. Joo no longer has this specific artwork currently available, but you can get the similar Improved Rack Elk for an undisclosed amount.

Guilt Mirror

KOKET’s Guilt Mirror can be spotted in the upstairs hallway, offering a striking organic silhouette that’s pretty hard to miss. Made from hammered matte brass, the textured starburst mirror comes in a rich silver or copper and weighs nearly 100 pounds.

Study Chair

Also used in the film’s Red Room is the English leather Study Chair (£7,000; $10,780) from Mark Brazier-Jones, which could almost pass as an average lounge. Once you notice the padded (what we can only assume are) leg rests held up by brass plated steel, you immediately know that this is definitely not a traditional sofa.

Exotica Dressing Table

Positioned on the penthouse’s second floor landing, KOKET’s Exotica Dressing Table exudes power and sensuality. The table features a gold metal top that is framed by black velvet embossed with a reptile pattern, and is held up by curved legs boasting a high-gloss black lacquer. The ends are embellished with emerald crystal tassels (ruby red and amber are also available) and three wide drawers grace the front.

Considering the majority of these furniture items are specially made, you will need to contact the manufacturer directly for price quotes. But if they're good enough for Christian Grey (a character who whisks dates away in his personal helicopter), you probably don’t need to ask the price.
