Range Rover Evoque Edition Debuted by Victoria Beckham and Land Rover

Land Rover and fashion icon Victoria Beckham unveiled the exclusive new Range Rover Evoque Special Edition at the 2012 Beijing Automobile Show on April 22nd. Victoria Beckham, who was the winner of the Designer Brand of the Year award at the 2011 British Fashion Awards, collaborated with Land Rover Design and Gerry McGovern to create this luxury vehicle, which boasts custom, hand-finished details and a “His and Her” luggage set, among many other bespoke additions.

Victoria, who was appointed as the Creative Design Executive in July of 2010 stated,” I am very excited to be working with Land Rover as I have an enormous amount of respect for the brand. I’ve always driven a Range Rover, for me they are the epitome of quality and luxury. When I first started working with the team I did a lot of research, and created mood boards to show the team my love of timeless and classic design. I looked at yachts, luxury jets and classic cars.”

Land Rover Design Director Gerry McGovern also said that Victoria’s ability to combine both feminine and masculine aspects within her fashion designs was an element that he wanted to incorporate into the Land Rover Evoque Special Edition. An incredible attention to detail, as well as supreme craftsmanship was the target for this luxury SUV. The Evoque Special Edition boasts a high quality matte grey paint, black forged alloy wheels with rose-gold detailing, a vintage tan leather interior with “baseball stitching” (a nod to Victoria’s famous footballer husband, David Beckham’s sports career).
