Former Playboy Mansion Building in Chicago Has Two Condos for Sale

Chicago real estate guide Urban Turf reported in July that a condominium, which is part of the original Playboy Mansion in the Second City's Gold Coast area, was listed at $6.7 million. That same brick building 20 years later is a luxury property that contains seven attached single-family residences. The living room of this spacious condominium, with more than 7,800 square feet of living space, previously was the site of the storied, swanky club's ballroom.

There are four bedrooms and five bathrooms in this supersize, two-level house with high ceilings and ornate decorum. There are four fireplaces throughout the abode, and five additional rooms beyond the living room, the dining room, the kitchen, and the laundry room. There also is a library, a study, a pantry, a gallery, a deck room, and a walk-in closet that is large enough to be designated a room.

The urban, upscale property is situated on a tree-lined street in a near-North Side community of Chicago. The building is more than 100 years old and is managed by a homeowners association.

Urban Turf also reported that another condominium in the building formerly known as the Playboy Mansion is for sale — a three-bedroom and three-plus bath condominium, priced at $2.5 million, has been on the market for over a year. Susan Wagner at Prudential Rubioff is the listing agent of the property. Katherine Chez at Baird & Warner is the listing agent for the $6.7 million condominium.
