Before Beatles legend George Harrison died in November of 2001, he scooped up this palatial piece of Swiss real estate in the prestigious city of Montagnola, and it has just hit the market, according to Curbed.com. Harrison stayed at the 1.6-acre home while he was undergoing treatment for a brain tumor at a local clinic. The property contains a 10,800-square-foot main house, a separate 1,800-square-foot building used for staff quarters or a guest house, 800-square-foot brick castle, marble mosaic floors, four-floor elevator, manicured gardens, pool, and treehouse among other luxurious amenities. AOL Real Estate reports that Harrison bought the house for $10 million but the current listing price is being kept quiet and only given to qualified buyers.
