February 04, 2010 | Contributor: James Rothaar Celebrity Real Estate: You're moments away from the Kasbah in this spectacular single-family residence just outside downtown Tangier in Morocco. Many of the luxury properties on Christie's Great Estates have a list price but not this one. This is one of those places where art and reality are inseparable.
Yves St. Laurent and his partner previously owned this English-styled villa of lavish landscaping and gardens by highly regarded landscape artist Madison Cox and interiors designed by renowned interior decorator Jacques Gragne. There also is a guesthouse and a heated pool on the two-acre spread.
The main living room, which is finished in blue chintz, provides a 180-degree view overlooking the gardens into the Strait of Gibraltar and the Andalusia Coast. This is a fantasy pad of epic proportions.
Luxury Real Estate: The most famous fictional secret agent known, James Bond, would never have existed if not for his tropical mansion in Jamaica. That is how former owner and novelist Ian Fleming, 007’s creator, summed the effect his luxury island residence had on his life. Perhaps owning a piece of Fleming's digs could bring out the inner-novelist in you as well.
The Goldeneye in Jamaica has been a pit stop of A-list bohemians of all-walks since 1977. That’s when Chris Blackwell, founder of Island Records, bought and transformed Fleming’s 52-acre manor into a five-villa luxury-boutique hotel with lagoons, secluded beaches, and tropical forests galore.
Goldeneye is adding 18 villas to the lush landscape the property. Along with Mother Nature’s lush gifts, amenities include a 6,000 square-foot spa, two restaurants and a deli, an elaborate water-sports center, and lit tennis courts. Concierge, housekeeping, chefs, and nanny services will be available. One-and two-bedroom villas of 1,100 to 1,700 square feet are offered from $900,000 to $1.2 million.
Luxury Real Estate: New owners get an eyeful tenfold with this exquisite estate on a cul-de-sac, in a nice neighborhood in Northern California. There also is a two-car garage, a guesthouse, staff quarters, and a two-car garage. The main residence has five bedrooms and six full baths. While the décor and design are classic 19th century, the gourmet kitchen and wiring is 100 percent 21st century friendly.
Neighbors: Population of Belvedere Tiburon is just over 13,000; income per household, in more than 30 percent of community households, is greater than $200,000.

January 15, 2010 | Contributor: James Rothaar Luxury Real Estate: Finding a property as majestic as Castello Sui Lago is a lot like love. You just never know where you’ll find it.
