An ultra-luxurious compound on the ritzy resort island of St. Barts in the French West Indies has been listed by Sibarth Real Estate, an affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate, for about $60 million. The exclusive estate, which is comprised of three sumptuous villas, is perched above posh Gouverneur Bay, the same piece of prime real estate as the $89 million property Roman Abramovich purchased in 2009.

Each villa is privately situated on the one acre parcel and each has its own sizable swimming pool, enjoying a unifying architectural style embodying the best of casual, contemporary Caribbean elegance. A private drive lined with stone walls leads to the residences, which are comprised of six bedrooms and seven baths.

The villas feature terraces with amazing views over the beach at Gouverneur and the adjacent islands of St. Kitts and Nevis, which will never be spoiled thanks to the neighboring land being classified as a green zone. Other amenities on the property include a sauna and two fitness rooms. The new owner may continue the current usage of the villas as three of the island’s most impressive rentals or reserve the compound for private use.

As we noted recently, St. Bart’s is a perennial favorite destination of A-listers. Simon Cowell, Kate Moss, P. Diddy, Denzel Washington, Naomi Watts, Ellen DeGeneres, Channing Tatum and Ryan Seacrest have all been spotted frolicking on its beaches this season, as have several Victoria’s Secret supermodels who are there to shoot the lingerie giant’s new swimsuit catalog.
