The underground hotspot, located in the 1910 Higgins Building near Harlem Place Alley, is oozing with old world ambiance and old Hollywood glamour. The Edison is steeped in tradition, with architectural and mechanical artifacts representing an era of invention and ingenuity.
While the Edison showcases relics such as an enormous central power generator visible through a glass wall, the space features the modern design elements of Bordello Chic, the latest design trend to sweep the LA area. The walls are blanketed in photographic nudes from the early 20th century, and the tufted leather benches, canopy chairs, and glass table tops all add to the overall design aesthetic, giving the space an industrial edginess.
Waitresses, who look like they stepped straight out of the 1920s, serve up a wide range of beers, wines, and an oh-so-satisfying cocktail menu. The Edison attracts a smart, elegant crowd and features live entertainment ranging from jazz, resident DJs, and even proactive burlesque shows.
