Announcements have been made that Bangkok will have another Grand Hyatt hotel opening its doors by 2017 with a brand new 220-room hotel in Asia's booming tourism capital. This will be the second of the hotel to be built in the city and goes to show the fertility of the market.
Over the past few years clearly Hyatt is not content to be a one-trick pony in Bangkok.
While the legacy Grand Hyatt continues to trade well, the new Park Hyatt being developed by the Central Group is on the way up, as is Hyatt Regency.
Now comes word that a 220-room Hyatt Place has been signed on Sukhumvit Soi 20. The property is slated to open by 2017.
Perhaps we should be expecting an Andaz to come into the pipeline next?
